THEATRE PLAYS 2024

During the second term we have enjoyed and learned with the following plays:

• "Jack and the Gigant" for Infants and 1st cycle of Primary Education
• "Trouble in the jungle" for The 2nd and 3rd cycle of Primary Education
• "I, spy" for students from Secondary Education

We have all danced and sung along to the music 

It was so funny!

BOOK FAIR 2024

Last week our school held the second Book Fair.

In the morning, we enjoyed a funny storytelling. In the afternoon, families visited the school to have a look the books and buy some of them.

We enjoyed a lot!

La pasada semana se celebró la Feria de Libros. 

Durante toda la mañana disfrutamos de cuentacuentos muy divertidos. Por la tarde las familias visitaron el centro para poder echar un vistazo y adquirir diferentes ejemplares. 

¡Qué bien lo pasamos!

A  LITERARY CARNIVAL 

 This year our school has celebrated a carnival inspired by different literary tales.

We decorated the corridors  and we put up QR codes with the main phrases of each story.

Decoramos los pasillos e incluimos códigos QR con frases destacadas de cada cuento.

HALLOWEEN AND READING BUDDIES

During the first term we have worked on different stories with Reading buddies. Primary students read a book to preschool students. The groups are previously selected. The dynamic took place the days before Christmas.

In addition, they enjoyed a Halloween drama play at school with English totem.

Durante este primer trimestre hemos trabajado diferentes lecturas a través de los reading buddies. Dinámica a través de la cual el alumnado de Educación Primaria lee un cuento al alumnado de Educación Infantil. Los grupos son seleccionados previamente. Esta dinámica se realizó los días previos a las vacaciones de navidad.

Además a nivel de centro se realizó un teatro de Halloween con la compañía English totem.

  

                                           

1st Science Fair

 Last week, the first Science Fair ever hold in our school took place!

The students from year 4, 5 and 6 of Primary Education and Year 1 of Secondary Education became investigators and scientists, and explained their younger school mates how they had solved a question that triggered their minds, following the scientific method.

They did an awesome work and all the teachers are very proud of them!

Besides, the next 12th of May four students from Year 6 are going to represent our school in the VIII Science Fair in Foreign Languages of Aragon. We are sure they will have a great experience!

La semana pasada, se celebró la primera Feria de Ciencias de nuestro cole.

Los alumnos de 4º, 5º, 6º de Primaria y 1º de ESO se convirtieron en científicos, explicando a sus compañeros pequeños cómo habían resuelto una pregunta que había despertado su curiosidad, siguiendo el método científico.

Todos hicieron un trabajo asombroso y el equipo docente, ¡Está muy orgulloso!

Además, el próximo 8 de mayo cuatro alumnos de 6º representarán a nuestro centro en la VIII Feria de Ciencias en Lenguas Extranjeras de Aragón. Estamos seguros que van a vivir una experiencia genial.

Saint George's Day

Did you know that St. George is not only the patron of Aragon but also the patron of England? 

That is the reason why this year we decided to celebrate that day from a bilingual approach, developing cultural awareness related to both communities. 

Last April 21st, our students had to take 4 challenges to complete a shield for their class. Those challenges included reading, building up a cage for a dragon, writing the title of their favourite book on a dragon's scale and taking part in a Medieval Tournament.

That was also a good starting point to discover the differences among what we call "United Kingdom". "Great Britain" and "England", as well as their flags. 

They had a great time!

¿Sabíais que San Jorge no solo es el patrón de Aragón sino que también lo es de Inglaterra?

Es por ello que este año hemos decidido celebrar el día desde una perspectiva bilingüe, desarrollando conciencia cultural relativa a ambas comunidades.

El pasado 2º de abril nuestros alumnos realizaron 4 retos para completar el escudo de su clase. Esos retos incluían leer, construir una jaula de dragón, escribir el título de su libro favorito en una escama de dragón y participar en un torneo medieval.

Todo ello contribuyó a introducir las diferencias entre lo que conocemos como "Reino Unido", "Gran Bretaña" e "Inglaterra", así como sus banderas.

¡Pasaron un día estupendo!
